SUMMARY:Adopting a Common Ecosystem for DSL Development
DESCRIPTION:Birds of a Feather\n\nAdopting a Common Ecosystem for DSL Deve
 lopment\n\nBrown, Kelly, Mudalige, Grosser\n\nDomain Specific Languages (D
SLs) are a powerful way of providing programmer productivity and performan
ce when developing HPC codes. The enriched semantic information enables ef
fective exploitation of supercomputers, which is especially important for
exascale due to the high degrees of parallelism and complex heterogeneous
architectures. DSLs, however, are often developed in isolation, sharing li
ttle underlying infrastructure, which can mean they are somewhat immature,
suffering from bugs, a potential lack of maintenance and lack of third pa
rty tooling. In this BoF we will focus on how we, as a community, can cons
olidate our efforts and look to develop a common DSL ecosystem.\n\nTag: Ap
